My teammates are my best friends, but I was different in one way. My teammates nicknamed me wasserball, which in German means water polo.
I swam on the high school team, and because I was a good swimmer I also played water polo, which I loved. I was born in Germany and my parents and I moved to the United States when I was 12 years old because my father worked for an international company.
